ADOPT-A-SCHOOL FOUNDATION

This Mandela Day 2026, Timberland South Africa is extending the reach of Alex's Magical Boots through a partnership with the Adopt-a-School Foundation, helping place the book into the hands of children in communities where access to reading resources is often limited.

By working with an organization that has spent more than two decades supporting education in South Africa, we can ensure this initiative reaches schools where it can make a meaningful difference and inspire a lifelong love of reading.

Established in 2002, the Adopt-a-School Foundation works alongside schools, educators, and communities to strengthen teaching and learning environments through its Whole School Development model. The Foundations work spans school leadership, educator support, learner wellbeing and curriculum development, with literacy forming an important part of its approach.

Together, Timberland South Africa and the Adopt-a-School Foundation are using Mandela Day as an opportunity to invest in the next generation, encouraging imagination, curiosity and a love of reading that can continue long after the final page is turned.
